We all know the benefits of meditation. Perhaps we have tried meditating on our own. Yet we somehow do not maintain a regular meditation practice. Here are some of the reasons:
1.) Not having enough time
People say they don’t have time to meditate. But meditation can be done with as little as 5 minutes. I am sure most of us can spare 5 minutes from our busy schedule to meditate.
2.) Lack of self-discipline
We all start out with great intentions to meditate daily but then we lack the discipline necessary to continue. Meditation, like any habit, requires a small amount of effort and motivation. Meditation is one of the best habits that you can integrate into your life.
3.) Too many distractions
We live in a world full of distractions from TV to Facebook. For some people, meditation is just one of a dozen other things they can be doing. You need to determine what is most important in your life.
4.) Not knowing how to meditate
All of us start out not knowing how to meditate. But nowadays, there are plenty of information about learning how to meditate. You can find information on the Internet, in books or attending classes.
